Climate Activists Celebrate Earth Day Launching Smart Agriculture Project In Liberia

The youth and climate activist disclosed that the risk at which the ozone layer of the earth is being damaged is because of actions of humans; mostly famers and industries’ operators. He advised the youth of Margibi County to desist from engaging into lawless practices and sign up for programs or opportunities that will promote development for the country at large. According to the CEO of CAAL, the newly launched agriculture project will benefit thousands of Liberians in the surrounding areas by producing food and other farming products for the market. He said, “We are going to be in the cultivation of mango, avocado and many more, this is an opportunity for many people in and around this project area.” Members of the organization went to several communities conducting cleanup and other exercises as residents sign-up to the movement. The people of Needowein community expressed pleasure in seeing a group of young people engaging in agriculture and spreading education on climate activities.
